Jaipur - Ajmer - Jodhpur - Jaisalmer - Jodhpur - Jaipur

Day 01: Jaipur - Jodhpur via Ajmer

(320 Kms / 7 Hrs)

Morning drive to Jodhpur visiting Dargah of Ajmer Shariff. Arrive Jodhpur and check in at Hotel.

Day 02: Jodhpur & Jodhpur - Jaisalmer

(295 Kms / 6 Hrs)

Morning sightseeing tour of Jodhpur - gateway to the desert beyond, home of the Rathores of Marwar. Visit the fort, rising up a hilly scrap, built on the advice of a hermit, which over looks the city in the image of a long sentinel. Inside the fort, there are a number of palaces added by successive ruler. Also visits the Jaswanthada, richly carved white marble cenotaph of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II, which preserves the genealogy of the rulers of Jodhpur along with their life-size portraits. Return to the old city for walk through Sojati Gate, which leads to Sadar Bazar with its ornate Clock Tower.

Afternoon drive to Jaisalmer. Arrive and check in at Hotel

Day 03: Jaisalmer

Morning city sightseeing of Jaisal Fort, built in 1156 AD by Rawal Jaisal, crowns the 80 Mtr. High Trikuta hill. About a fourth of the Old City & rsquos population resides within the walled fort. The havelis or the town mansions are particularly celebrated for their architecture. Best known havelis are Patwon ki haveli for its magnificent latticework, Salim Singh ki Haveli, which is as old as 300 years and is still lived in. it has beautiful arched roof with carved brackets in the form of peacocks. Visit Gharisar, which once supplied water to the city, the temples and archways around built by the courtesan.

Afternoon excursion to Sam Sand Dunes to see sun set over the desert. Enjoy a camel ride on the sand dunes.

Day 04: Jaisalmer - Jodhpur

(295 Kms / 5 Hrs)

Morning drive to Jodhpur. Afternoon half day Jeep safari to Bishnoi village, a memorable outing in jeeps visiting various traditional villages seeing local handicrafts viz shoe makers, pottery, hand weaving and also men in there traditional attire, women clad with ancestral silver jewellery, enroute watch and photograph wildlife blackbuck, chinkaras, peacocks, etc. Freely moving in abundance protected by Bishnoi protectors of wildlife and trees.

 

Day 05: Jodhpur - Jaipur

(320 Kms / 7 Hrs)

After breakfast drive back to Jaipur
